Where Does the Time Go?

It is hard to believe it is already December. In just 22 more days, Jamie will turn 8 years old. It seems like we just brought her home from the hospital. Next month on the 24th, Isaac will turn 11! James and I were talking the other day, trying to remember what we had for Christmas dinner the year Jamie was born. We had gotten home with her at 2:00 a.m. Christmas morning and gotten a few hours sleep before Carl and Bonnie brought the boys home. I remember the boys opening their presents, but the rest of the day is a blur. In fact, the next 3 or 4 years seem to be a blur, I don't remember much, except being extremely tired all the time. Having 3 children in diapers at one time tends to do that to you.

Isaac, Caleb, and Jamie are doing better with homeschooling. I think Caleb's reading has improved. I am working on reading comprehension with him now. He is resistant to all learning, unless it involves motors or wheels, of which I know nothing.

Isaac seems to be doing okay. I have abandoned the subject of spelling, which caused much rejoicing. I think I will spend the rest of the year teaching Isaac the special sounds he is so resistant to learning.

Jamie doesn't seem to be having a problem with any subject so far. Maybe we'll have smooth sailing with her. She must learn to obey as they all must. They have a difficult time doing what they don't want to do. (Don't we all.)
