We had some eggs in an incubator that we were trying to hatch. Only one hatched. We call her (we think it's a her) Ichi, which, my husband tells me means "one" in Japanese.
Now we have 10 baby guinea chicks, that our neighbor hatched in his incubator from our eggs. They are so cute, they look like tiny emus. Our chickens look like "night of the living dead" because some of them have lost almost all of their feathers. James has some medicine to spray on them, I hope it helps.
Ichi thinks she is the mama to the guineas, she had some of them under her wing the other day when we went to check on them, wish I could have gotten a picture of that. More later...

Just came from Joyful Living's blog. I noticed your name on blogs she visits. I love the song Drinking From My Saucer 'Cause My Cup has Overflowed. I have it on my playlist. A great name for your blog. Loved your pictures and the fact that you are home schooling your children. I noticed your age in your profile. My husband and I will have our
47th Anniversary on Sept. 23rd this year.
Blessings and visit me anytime,
AliceE.
