I went to see Ann Graham Lotz on Friday and Saturday and it was a blessing. I was encouraged in many different ways, but the one that comes to mind first, is that Jesus wants us to serve Him right where we are, with what we have. He doesn't want us to wait until the kids are grown, or until we have more money, or more time, or until we're better people or until one more minute or second of our life passes. He wants us to serve Him NOW. Right now, with all we've got, whether it is a lot or a little.
Ann told the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish. She said He blessed it, and broke it and everybody ate until they were satisfied and then the disciples gathered up the left overs and it took 12 baskets to gather what was left over!
Just think what God could do with our broken pieces!! If we would just surrender them to Him and let Him bless them and dispense them.
Thank you God for just giving us Jesus, thank you for accepting us just the way we are, but loving us enough to not leave us the way You find us, but cleansing us and restoring us and using us to further Your kingdom, when we trust You and let You take control of our lives.
